KICKOFF 2008, 7 p.m. at the Hermiston Conference Center,

PENDLETON’S FIRST

CITIZEN’S BANQUET, 5:30, social hour; 6:30 dinner at

Wildhorse Resort & Casino. The event includes a raffle and

table sponsor awards. Tickets are sold out, however call 276-7411 to be

put on the waiting list.

SATURDAY, JAN. 26

PANCAKE BREAKFAST,

7:30-10:30 a.m. at Stokes Landing Senior Center, 195 N.W. Opal Place,

Irrigon. Cost is $4 and the menu includes pancakes, ham, eggs, sausage

biscuits, sausage gravy, orange juice and coffee. All proceeds go to

the Irrigon Multicultural Arts Center.

KIDZ 4 EDUCATION RUMMAGE

SALE, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Sandstone Middle School, 400

N.E. 10th St., Hermiston. Proceeds from the fundraiser will go towards

an educational trip to Washington D.C.

“‘NIGHT MOTHER” AUDITIONS,

2-4 p.m. in Pioneer Theatre, Pioneer Hall, Blue Mountain Community

College, Pendleton. Two women’s roles (late 30s to early 40s and late

50s to early 60s). Cold readings. Performances in April. For more

Theatre production.

POKER SHOWDOWN,

5 p.m. at Hodgen Distributing, 4340 Westgate, Pendleton. Entry fee is

$100 and only 100 players are allowed. Fundraiser for the Blue Mountain

Community College rodeo team sponsored by the Northwest Intercollegiate

Rodeo Finals Association. Hamburgers, hot dogs, beverages. Prizes

include $1,500 in Columbia River Bank gift cards. Entry forms available

ADAMS CHILI COOK-OFF AND

FEED, 5:30 p.m. at the Friendship Center on Main Street,

sponsored by the Adams Ladies Club. $5 for adults, $15 for a family to

enjoy the chili. Chili entries are $5 each, and the chili should arrive

LITTLE BUCKS CHEER CAMP ENDS, today is the last chance to

BOARDMAN CHAMBER OF

COMMERCE CITIZEN AWARDS RECEPTION, 7-11 p.m. at the Port

of Morrow, 2 Marine Drive, Boardman; 7 p.m. no-host bar; 7:30 p.m.

award presentations; 8 p.m. Wild Bill’s Casino. Tickets $30 per person

SWIM TEAM CAN DRIVE, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., cans can be

dropped off at Maxwell Siding Railroad Museum, 200 Highland Ave. Team

members will also collect in neighborhoods. Proceeds help the team pay

the cost of traveling to Pendleton for practice.
