Laura Anne Nelson and Glen Metzler were married on Oct. 6, 2007 at the McMinnville Grand Ballroom in McMinnville.
The bride is the daughter of George and Sue Nelson of Pendleton. She is a 1988 graduate of Pendleton High School. She earned a bachelor of science degree from Linfield College in McMinnville in 1992, and graduated from Willamette Law School in 2007. She is employed with in Eugene.
The groom is the son of Lewis and Karen Metzler of Kelso, Wash. A 1981 graduate of Mark Morris High School in Longview, Wash., he graduated from Oregon State University in Corvallis in 1991. He is employed by CH2M-Hill in Corvallis.
The double-ring ceremony was officiated by Beverly Richardson. The bride wore a white silk and organza dress with black highlights and a veil of white tulle. She carried a bouquet of red roses. She was attended by maid of honor Brenda Greiner, a friend from Portland, and bridesmaids Darcey Ridgway, cousin of the bride, of Pendleton, Candy Olson of Portland, and Laura Anderson of McMinnville, both friends of the bride.
The groom was attended by best man Carl Olson, friend of the groom, and groomsmen Ryan Metzler, brother of the groom, of Bend, and Dave Minamoto of Portland and Chris Bauer of Kennewick, Wash., both friends of the groom.
A reception was held following the ceremony at the McMinnville Grand Ballroom. Music was furnished by DJ Shaun Keen.
The couple spent their honeymoon in Hawaii. They will reside in Lebanon, Ore.
