PENDLETON – Hollis E. Drake IV, of Ukiah, died Monday, Aug. 6, 2007, at St. Anthony Hospital. He was 35.

A celebration of his life will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ukiah City Park in Ukiah.

Mr. Drake was born July 20, 1972, in Pendleton, to Hollis Drake III and Carol A. Drake. He graduated from Pendleton High School in 1990. He was active in sports, including football and track. After high school, he worked in construction and carpentry and the mills in Pilot Rock and Heppner. He had most recently worked for the Wal-Mart distribution center in Hermiston.

He married Dawna Gentry on March 3, 2003, in Ukiah.

Mr. Drake enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and was an accomplished artist.

He is survived by his wife; parents; children Ericka Drake of Pilot Rock and Taylor Drake of Ukiah; sister Aileen Christensen of Grass Valley; and a niece.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Hollis Drake IV Memorial Fund in care of Bank Of The West.
