New Starbucks to open in Safeways

PENDLETON – Two new Starbucks will open in Safeway grocery stores in Pendleton and Hermiston this summer.
The Starbucks at the Pendleton Safeway will open Friday, June 25, according to a Safeway spokeswoman. Safeway plans to hire eight to 10 employees to work at the new kiosk that will be at the front of the store near the checkstands.
Another kiosk will open at the Hermiston Safeway some time in July, a Safeway spokesman said. It also will hire eight to 10 employees. Each kiosk will take up about 520 square feet.
