SCHWARTZ – A memorial service for Norma Shirley Bender Newtson Schwartz will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 28, at Peace Lutheran Church in Pendleton. A reception will follow at the Pendleton Elks Club. Mrs. Schwartz died Dec. 10, 2006, in Corvallis. She was 80. GUYLL – A private family graveside service for longtime Pendleton resident, Elsie M. Guyll, who died Jan. 20, 2007, will be held Saturday at Olney Cemetery. A gathering will be held at 3 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Pendleton. Memorial contributions may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 201 S.W. Dorion Ave., Pendleton, 97801.

FRY – Ronald K. Fry, 49, of Pendleton, died Friday at St. Mary Medical in Walla Walla. Bishop Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.

GOODING – Charles P. Gooding, 79, of Hermiston, died Saturday, at his home. Disposition was

by cremation. A private family service will be held at a later date. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements.

SMITH – Natelle “Teddy” Smith, 86, of College Place, formerly of Milton-Freewater, died Sunday at Regency at the Park. Arrangements are pending at Munselle-Rhodes Funeral Home of Milton-Freewater.

PHILLIPS – Clarence, 78, of Hermiston, died Sunday at Good Samaritan Medical Center. Burns Mortuary of Hermiston in charge of arrangements.
