Kim Hill earns player of game honors with 19 points and 19 rebounds.

Portland Christian takes the 2007 2A Girls State Championship 49-31.

Portland Christian has the win wrapped up with a 43-23 lead and only 4:50 left to play.

Score stands at 39-21 going into the fourth quarter.

Portland Christian continues to dominate on both ends, leading 37-19 with 45 seconds left in the third.

Hill has made no doubt about who is in charge early in the second half, collecting blocks number three and four and stretching her scoring total to 10, giving Portland Christian a commanding lead 32-17 with 3:00 to play.

Santiam came out of the half intense but seem to have lost some steam as Portland Christian gets two straight buckets from Hill to lead 28-17 with 5:00 left in the third.

Maltman leads the game with 10 points. Halemeier leads the Wolverines with 6.

The Royals seem to have figured out the Wolverines’ defense and are getting things done with their guards while Hill holds down the interior on the other end.

Maltman is nearly unstoppable for the Royals and has led them to a 22-15 halftime lead.

Halemeier has found her shot late in the half and Santiam has closed the gap to 18-15 with 1:00 to go.

Portland Christian leads 16-10 with 3:00 left in the half.

Santiam’s Jakira Ballard came out of the timeout and hit a long 2 but Cornell answered with a jumper of her own and Maltman continues to drive the Royals offense.

A Maltman layup in traffic and Hill turnaround jumper up close have stretched the lead to 12-4 with 4:57 left on the clock. Santiam is in disarray on offense and coach Joy Lease has taken a timeout to talk things over.

A Darcy Cornell free throw and Hill jumper from the top of the key have given Portland Christian a 8-4 lead with 6:30 left in the second. Hill has started taking over the game on defense for the Royals.

Portland Christian has taken the lead 5-4 at the end of one.

Darcy Cornell hit a free throw to make it 4-3 with 2:46 on the clock in the first and the score would remain until Kaely Maltman hit a layup with 47 seconds left to take the lead 5-4. Halemeier is dominant in the paint on defense for Santiam but they didn’t score in the last 4:00 of the quarter.

Heidi Halemeier and Amy Flores are shutting Kim Hill down early but Portland Christian isn’t giving anything away on defense either. Santiam leads 4-0 with 4:00 left in the first.

Kim Hoover puts Santiam on the board first, 2-0.
