PENDLETON – Eddie Curtis Jenkins, a mechanic at Rodeo Lanes, died Feb. 11, 2007, at his home after a brief battle with cancer. He was 55.

Mr. Jenkins was born March 19, 1951, in Sweet Home, to Bill and Edna Smith Jenkins. He grew up on the Oregon coast.

After a brief enlistment in the U.S. Navy, he worked many years as a mechanic for Park Lanes in Hillsboro and Rodeo Lanes in Pendleton.

He enjoyed fishing, bowling, bingo, cars and riding ATVs.

He is survived by sons Brad and Bobby of Hillsboro; sisters Billie Wheeler of Pendleton and Rita Chapman of Eugene; several nieces and nephews; a great-great nephew; and numerous friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Phyllis Jenkins.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society in care of Burns Mortuary of Pendleton, which is in charge of arrangements.
