HERMISTON – A celebration of life service for Lacey Taylor Ostrom will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Umatilla Presbyterian Church.

Miss Ostrum died of a gunshot wound on Dec. 24, 2006, at Oregon Health and Science University Hospital. She was 12.

She was born on June 13, 1994, in Vancouver, Wash., to Michael and Shellie Edgerly Ostrom. Her family moved to Hermiston when she was six. She was a seventh grader at Sandstone Middle School.

She enjoyed baseball, softball, music, dancing, choir, church and her best friend Ronnie. She had recently received the Presidential Academic Achievement Award.

She is survived by her parents; sisters Ciara Edgerly of Puyallup, Wash., and Haley Ostrom and Olivia Ostrom, both of Hermiston; brother Dylan Ostrom of Hermiston; grandparents Sue and Milton Ferguson of Washougal, Wash., Sandy Lauritsen of Echo, and Jerry Edgerly of Yakima, Wash.; great-grandparents Erma Ostrom of Pilot Rock and Bob and Betty Huffman of Vancouver; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather Vane Ostrom and great-grandfather Glenn Ostrom.
