Robert Franklin Gordon

PENDLETON – A private family graveside funeral for Robert Franklin Gordon was held at 9 a.m. today at Olney Cemetery.
Mr. Gordon, 74, of Pendleton, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at his home.
He was born Oct. 22, 1930, at High River, Alberta, Canada, to John F. and Georgia J. Doering Gordon. He lived in Pendleton and the surrounding area most of his life.
As a young man, he worked in canneries at Hood River and the Vancouver area, worked construction in the Pendleton area and drove a wheat truck during harvest.
He most enjoyed staying at home to help raise his children. He liked going on road trips, visiting rivers, lakes, mountains, and trying his hand at fishing. He also enjoyed watching college football and making a few bets with his brother-in-law, Kenny. He enjoyed his friends and family and memories of spending time with them.
Survivors include his wife, Kathleen Gordon of Pendleton; sons, Robert M. Gordon of Pendleton and David Gordon of Midland, Texas; daughters, Marguerite Olsen of Weston, Jeanine Satterwhite and Martina Davis, both of Pendleton, and Carlene Gordon of Alaska ; Stepchildren, Diane Pierre, Leon Dave, Marie Dave, Sandy Dave, and James Dave all of Pendleton and Randy Dave in Kansas; sister, Evelyn Warrington of Seneca; brothers, John Gordon in Canada and Richard Gordon of Bend; and 11 grandchildren.
Burns Mortuary of Pendleton is in charge of arrangements.
