Round-Up announces 2005 concert lineup

PENDLETON – Country artists Terri Clark and Dierks Bentley will take the stage for the 2005 Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon Concert Sept. 10 at the Happy Canyon Arena.
The Saturday concert kicks off the week-long Pendleton Round-Up and Happy Canyon celebration.

“It’s a real treat to see performers like Terri Clark and Dierks Bentley,” said Round-Up Director Tim Mabry. “They have a wide-ranging appeal, and we think concert-goers of all age groups are going to have a fantastic time.”
Happy Canyon Director Jim Naughton agreed. “This will be one of those concerts that everyone will remember. I am very excited at the opportunity we have to see a wonderful show again in September.”

Terri Clark has received numerous awards from the Canadian Country Music Association, including being named Female Artist of the Year in 2004 as well as receiving the fans’ choice award the same year.
Her latest release, “Greatest Hits,” spans 10 years of recordings and has already earned gold in the United States. She was also nominated for female artist of the year by both the Country Music Association and the Academy of Country Music in 2004.
Her greatest hits include “Better Things to Do,” “Poor, Poor Pitiful Me,” and “A Little Gasoline.”

Originally from Phoenix, Dierks Bentley moved to Nashville when he was 19 and immediately immersed himself in the music scene. He played more than 200 concert dates in 2004, making him one of the busiest performers his field. Last year, he toured with Kenny Chesney and George Strait, as well as the Southern rock band, Cross Canadian Ragweed.
Bentley was named the 2004 ACM Top New Artist. He has also been nominated for several other newcomer awards and is rated by People magazine as one of the 50 hottest bachelors, while country-music oriented CMT has ranked him the third sexiest man in the country.
The Round-Up and Happy Canyon have brought some of the biggest names in country music to town over the years, as well as a host of fast-rising stars. Performers have included Randy Travis, George Strait, the Oak Ridge Boys, Lee Greenwood, Reba McEntire, Brooks & Dunn, Alabama, the Charlie Daniels Band, Chris LeDoux, Jo Dee Messina, Collin Raye, Shenandoah, John Michael Montgomery, Sawyer Brown, Tracy Byrd and Brad Paisley.
