PENDLETON – John Rowland, 53, of La Vista, Neb., died Tuesday, Dec. 14, 2004, at St. Anthony Hospital in Pendleton.

Disposition was by cremation. No service will be held here.

Mr. Rowland was born March 9, 1951, at Fort Riley, Kan., to William Junior and Geraldine Cope Rowland.

He was a former Marine.

It was said he had a great sense of the outdoors, and enjoyed fishing and camping. He loved animals, had a great-sense of humor, and was a creative, talented chef who enjoyed cooking.

Survivors include his mother, Geraldine Marie Rowland; sisters, Mae Daniel, Marie Harrison, Mary Rowland, and Joan Petzold; brothers, Lawrence, Sherman, and Dan; sons, Scott Rowland and Vince Bush; daughter, Kristie Rowland; four grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
