4-H County Medal winners were announced at the annual Achievement Day held earlier this month, and Sheila Boettcher of Hermiston was selected as recipient of the Umatilla County 4-H Leader of the Year Award.

Medals are awarded to 4-H’ers based on achievement in project areas, community service, leadership and participation in county or state events.

Intermediates and Seniors, grades 7-12, received awards sponsored by national sponsors while juniors, grades 4-6, received awards sponsored by the 4-H Leaders Association.
