Blue-footed booby alive and well

In Terry Murry’s article in the East Oregonian on June 18, she remarked the blue-footed booby is extinct.
They are, in fact, alive and well. These seabirds flourish in the Pacific Ocean and may often be seen from shore in Western Mexico. Boobies feed on fish and are magnificent divers from heights of 50 feet or more.

They breed on off-shore islands and may be seen around the islands year-round.
