UMATILLA – Wauhnemah and Rob Bier of Hermiston and Ron Anderson of Adrian announce the engagement of their daughter, Darla Marie Anderson-Bier, to Jeffrey Ryan McConnell of Umatilla.

Bier is a 2002 graduate of Hermiston High School and a 2004 graduate of the Pendleton College of Hair Design. She works at Smart Style in Hermiston.

McDonnell, the son of Nancy and Joseph McConnell of Umatilla is a 2002 graduate of Umatilla High School and a 2004 graduate from the Art Institute of Seattle with an associate’s degree in audio engineering. He is employed at Wilcox Furniture.

The couple plan a May 1, 2004 wedding at the Umatilla Baptist Church.
