Cady-Garberg

Jodi Cady of Hermiston and Tony Garberg of Benton City, Wash., were married Sept. 19 in a double-ring ceremony at the Cottage Garden in Hermiston.

Jim Webb performed the ceremony.

The bride was raised by her grandparents, Jessie Ashbeck and the late Thomas Ashbeck of Hermiston. She is the daughter of Dennis and Casey Bischke of Gresham and the late Sherry and Doug Cady of Hermiston. Garberg is the son of Axel and Tonya Garberg of Benton City.

The bride was given in marriage by her uncle, Jim Ashbeck.

Matron of honor was Tia Gentner, sister of the bride of Pendleton. Bridesmaids were Lisa Cady, sister of the bride and Shirley Kurtz, friend of the bride.

Best man was Gib Garberg, brother of the groom. Groomsmen were Scott Garberg, brother of the groom and Dennis Garberg, uncle of the groom.

Rylee Gentner, niece of the bride, served as flower girl. Ring bearer was Ryan Cady, nephew of the bride. Candlelighters were Keicia Schmidt, cousin of the bride and Wendy Garberg, niece of the groom. Vocalist for the ceremony was Keenan Schmidt, cousin of the bride.

The bride wore a white satin gown with a short train, crystal sequins along the bodice and spaghetti straps with an open v-line back. She carried a bouquet of white silk roses.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Cottage Event Center.

The bride graduated from Echo High School in 1986 and received her master’s degree in physical therapy from Andrews University in Dayton, Ohio in 2000. She works as a physical therapist at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Hermiston.

The bridegroom graduated from Kiona-Benton High School in 1987 and from the U.S. Coast Guard as an aviation metal smith in 1993. He graduated from respiratory therapy school from the Army Armed Center in 1999. He works as a respiratory therapist at Good Shepherd Medical Center.

After a wedding trip to St. Thomas, U.S. Virgin Islands, the couple lives in Hermiston.
