HERMISTON – Charley Addison Nelson, 63, a resident of the Hermiston area the pst 10 years, died Wednesday, Dec. 31, 2003, at his home.

A private family memorial service will be held later. Disposition was by cremation.

Mr. Nelson was born Nov. 8, 1940, at Ronan, Idaho, to Chester and Myrtle Plekey Nelson.

He lived in the Hermiston-Umatilla area 10 years and had been employed as an auto mechanic.

Survivors include a son, David, in Washington state; daughters Penny Nelson in Oregon, Carol Kiely and Lisa Nelson, both in Washington state; a brother, Tom in Washington state; and a sister, Myrna Thompson in Idaho; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Burns Mortuary of Hermiston is in charge of arrangements.
