Lifespan respite program looking to fill advisory council openings

HERMISTON – The Lifespan Respite program is seeking members for its advisory council.

The purpose of the advisory council is to advise and support the Lifespan network and coordinating agency to ensure that services are delivered in a manner consistent with the local strategic plan. The council ensures the Lifespan program meets the needs of families in Umatilla and Morrow counties.

Members include, but are not limited to, representatives of families and consumers or Respite care, past or present; providers of respite care, past or present; individuals in health care or community based care; people with experience in profession, private or voluntary organization; or social service agencies including state and federal funded, service provider organizations, delegates representing children, people with disabilities and seniors.

Anyone interested in serving on the advisory council, or learning more about the advisory council duties, can call Annette Davies at 567-7615. The advisory council meets the first Monday of each month at 2 p.m. at the Arc, 215 W. Orchard Ave. in Hermiston. The next meeting will be Monday, Aug. 11 at the Arc.
