Farm-City Pro Rodeo tickets on sale throughout region

HERMISTON – Tickets for the Farm-City Pro Rodeo are now on sale. This year’s rodeo will be held Aug. 6-9 at the Umatilla County Fairgrounds.

It is recognized as one of the nation’s best, since it has been nominated six times as PRCA Largest Outdoor Rodeo of Year.

Ticket outlets include Pendleton Grain Growers in Hermiston and Pendleton; RoeMark’s Mens & Western Wear in Hermiston; Banner Bank in Hermiston, Pendleton, Stanfield, Boardman and Umatilla; Barnett & Moro in Hermiston; the Hermiston Chamber of Commerce; and Gardner’s Mens Wear in Heppner.

Tickets also will be sold at the fair gate entrances starting at 6 p.m. each night of the rodeo. As always, Farm-City Rodeo tickets include admission into the Umatilla County Fair.

This year’s performance includes the return of the Flint Rasmussen, Wrangler NFR Barrelman the last five years and pro rodeo’s Clown of the Year the last four years. The returning bullfighters are 15-year veteran and past NFR bullfighter Rowdy Barry of Kennewick and Joe Baumgartner, an NFR bullfighter for the last 11 years.

Also returning is one of professional rodeo’s top announcers, nine-time PRCA Announcer of the Year Randy Corley.

Once again some of the top stock in the PRCA will be at Hermiston, as well as many of the nation’s top cowboys and cowgirls.

Another crowd favorite is the mutton busting, scheduled for each performance with the finals Saturday night.

General admission for all nights is $12, reserve seating is $14. Family Night will be Wednesday night, with admission for children 12 and under $5.
