Stanfield sports awards announced

STANFIELD -Stanfield held its annual high school sports banquet earlier this month.

Honored with receiving letters for cheerleading here: Maria Wyckoff, Rachel Lemmon, Megan Kashuba, Maggie Hendrix, Kendra Kashuba, Thalia Russell, Tiffiny Buechler, Tammy Pollick and Sean Myers.

Lettering in wrestling were: Steven McElroy, Shawn Pratt, Jason Cook and Stephen Lemmon.

Lettering in girls basketball were: Danielle Weathermon, Kellie Davis, Kyle Mills, Nicole Mills, Cara Kammerzell, Nanci Sandoval and Catherine Zielke. Receiving certificates of participation were: Ellery Ena, Elizabeth Surber, Jackie Caldera, Rosa Bautista, Crystal Weathermon, Jana Fisher and Brook Spencer.

Lettering in boys basketball were: Chuy Perches, Jacob Flemmer, Jason Sperr, Ricky Perches, Aaron Abercrombie and Jason Flemmer. Receiving certificates of participation were Alonso Rivera, Michael Sobatta, Trevor Baros, Tyler Gabriel, Jerrad Little, Herschel Zielke, Nathan Dick, Edgar Ibarra, Kodi Challis, Cutter Dorran, Chad Blackburn, Joseph Welan, Matt Vogel, Austin Gehrke, Segio Carillo and Tiffany Marcum as manager.

Scholar athletes were: Aaron Abercrombie, Jacob Flemmer, Tyler Gabriel, Ricky Perches, Alonso Rivera, Kyle Sobotta, Jason Sperr, Rose Bautista, Kellie Davis, Kim Davis, Ellery Ena, Jana Fischer, Kyle Mills, Nicole Mills, Blanca Rodriguez, Nanci Sandoval, Elizabeth Surber, Crystal Weathermon, Danielle Weathermon, Kendra Kashuba, Megan Kashuba, Rachel Lemmon and Maria Wyckoff.

The girl’s basketball team placed eighth in the state by the Dairy Farmers of Oregon with an average 3.65 grade point average.
