Folkman – Smith

PENDLETON – Brittany Anne Smith of Pendleton and Kevin Jacob Folkman of Tualatin were married Nov. 23, 2002 at the Portland Temple of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints.

Douglas Westenhaver presided at the double ring ceremony.

The bride wore a floor length silk organza gown featuring a fitted bodice and three-quarter length sleeves. The bodice was French Alencon lace, embellished with seed pearls and crystals. The full skirted gown fell into a cathedral train accented with matching Alencon lace. Her headpiece was an Austrian crystal and seed pearl headband with a two-tiered fingertip, silk-illusion veil.

Maid of honor was Sarah Frehner of Las Vegas, Nev. Bridesmaids were Kristen Butcher and Lea Kallestad of Provo and Mary Wells of Salt Lake City. Flower girl was Ashley Frehner of Las Vegas.

Best man was Steve Tachouet of New York City. Groomsmen were Todd Folkman, Daren Folkman and Ryan Folkman, all of Tualatin. Usher was Creighton Barker of Scottsdale, Ariz.

The bride is the daughter of Sharon L. and Gordon Harold Smith of Pendleton. She is a 1998 graduate of Pendleton High School and is currently a student at Brigham Young University.

Folkman is the son of Sharon Rhae and Alan James Folkman of Tualatin. He is a 1997 graduate of Lake Oswego High School and a student at Brigham Young University.

Following a reception at the Waverly Country Club in Portland, the couple embarked on a wedding trip to Mexico. A Dec. 21, 2002 reception for the couple, at the Smith home in Pendleton, featured music by Amy Jepsen of Heppner.

The couple reside at Provo, Utah.
