Weston honoring outstanding citizens
WESTON – The Weston Chamber of Commerce is hosting a dinner Tuesday to honor some of the city’s residents.
The chamber will announce the winners of the Outstanding Citizen and Outstanding Educator awards.
The turkey dinner is $10 and is scheduled for 6:30, Tuesday Nov. 19 at the Memorial Hall on Main Street in Weston.
Craft fair set for
St. Anthony Hospital
PENDLETON – St. Anthony Hospital employees are sponsoring a craft fair from 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 18 in meeting room one.
The craft fair will include a drawing for a beaded necklace. Tickets for the drawing are $1 each or five tickets for $4, and are available at the craft fair.
Proceeds from the drawing will be donated to the cancer clinic. Proceeds from the craft fair will benefit hospital events. For more information, contact Rebecca, 278-3245.
Stanfield Planning Commission to meet
STANFIELD – The Stanfield Planning Commission will meet at 7 p.m. Monday in the old Stanfield Library building, 150 W. Coe Avenue.
The commission will address a rezoning request for the former Stanfield Elementary School at 405 N. Sherman Avenue.
The elementary school was emptied almost two years ago after the new Stanfield Elementary School was built behind the Stanfield High School building.

Donations needed for Salvation Army dinner
PENDLETON – Donations are needed for the Salvation Army’s free Thanksgiving Day Dinner for the community.
Donations of turkeys (uncooked) are the main need, but other food items such as stuffing mix, vegetables, pies, butter, Cool Whip, potatoes, sweet potatoes and condensed milk also are needed.
Contact the Pendleton Salvation Army at 276-3369 or bring donations by the facility at 150 SE Emigrant.
PHS canned food
drive set for Nov. 20
PENDLETON – The annual Pendleton High School canned food drive is set to begin Wednesday, Nov. 20. The drive will continue for three weeks, ending on Wednesday, Dec. 11.
Students are asked to bring cans and other nonperishable goods to their first-period classes.
