Kotek encourages Oregonians to serve on state boards, commissions

SALEM — Oregon Gov. Tina Kotek announced the state is currently accepting applications for positions on newly established state boards and commissions, resulting from the legislative session of 2023.
Kotek’s call to action urges Oregon residents to contemplate taking up these roles as a means of actively contributing to the state’s governance.
“I am echoing the call to action that I proclaimed upon taking office, inviting all Oregonians to participate in the building of the Oregon you wish to reside in,” Kotek said.
The governor emphasized the impact individuals serving on state boards and commissions have in shaping policies that address a diverse array of issues that directly affect the lives of Oregonians.
“True progress necessitates the active engagement of each and every one of us. I encourage Oregonians with a vested interest in these matters to step forward and serve,” Kotek said.

• Jurisdictional Transfer Advisory Committee
• Juvenile Justice Policy Commission
• LGBTQIA2S+ Subcommittee of the Governor’s Commission on Senior Services
• Oregon Cybersecurity Advisory Council
• Oregon Youth Works Advisory Board
• State Board of Sign Language Interpreters
• Task Force on Alcohol Pricing and Addiction Services
• Task Force on Modernizing Grant Funding and Contracting
• Task Force on Tribal Consultation
• Universal Health Plan Governance Board
