LA GRANDE — A spinout in the snowy Blue Mountains means Interstate 84 is closed east of Pendleton.

Just before 10 a.m., the Oregon Department of Transportation announced that the I-84 westbound lane is closed Exit 265, 8 miles west of La Grande, due to a spun out semitrailer. Additionally, Exit 374 in Ontario is closed to semis due to a lack of safe parking.

Oregon Route 245 in Baker County also is closed and cannot be used as an alternative route to the interstate. The I-84 eastbound lane remains open at this time.
