PENDLETON — The Pendleton Lions Club recently roared into CHI St. Anthony Hospital, Pendleton. The local service club served Italian sodas Sept. 30 to agency staff as a token of appreciation for all their hard work and dedication during the global pandemic, said Emily Smith, the hospital’s director of marketing and communications.
Club members spent a couple of hours visiting with staff and sharing the refreshments. In addition, they left supplies so night shift staff also could enjoy a special treat.
“The staff were very appreciative,” Smith said, “and it was so nice of them to give us a special thank you.”
