WALLA WALLA — The United Way of the Blue Mountains, which includes Umatilla and Morrow counties, recently announced grants awarded for fall 2020 and spring 2021.
The nonprofit organization brings together community resources to focus on key problems and issues families face and invests in solutions to those problems. Through partnerships, the United Way connects the community to ensure people find the help they need.
United Way of the Blue Mountains continues to help the region “Live United” with its investment in the wellbeing of local communities by helping families achieve stability and educational opportunities — through disaster recovery as well as addressing social, economic, educational and racial inequities.
Area organizations that benefited from the United Way’s recent disbursements include: The Salvation Army-Pendleton Corps, SMART reading programs in Umatilla and Morrow counties, Walla Walla YMCA Summer Enrichment Program in Athena and Youth for Christ Blue Mountain-Hermiston Campus Life.
