WALLA WALLA — Milton-Freewater native Carlos Angel Jr. received this bachelor’s of arts degree from Whitman College on May 23. A graduate of McLoughlin High School, Angel Jr. graduated with a degree in sociology.

Founded in 1882, Whitman College is a highly selective private, independent, co-educational, nonsectarian residential liberal arts and sciences undergraduate college in Walla Walla. The college is home to approximately 1,500 undergraduate students exploring 45 departmental majors that lead to a bachelor’s of arts degree.
