Three dead bodies were found Saturday morning on a farm south of Finley and the deaths are being investigated as a triple homicide.

A farmworker found two people dead near a cornfield about 6 a.m., said Benton County Sheriff’s Lt. Chuck Jones.

He said deputies arrived soon after and found a third body. All were on farmland off Nine Canyon Road, southeast of the intersection with Coffin Road, said Jones.

Jones told the Herald he couldn’t give more details.

We’re looking at it as a crime and were investigating, he said.

The names of the victims were not being released because family has yet to be notified, said Benton County Coroner John Hansens.

When asked where the victims are from, Hansens said, We dont even know that yet.

The bodies remained where they were found much of the day. Hansens said his office planned to pick them up later in the evening.

Were waiting for the state patrols crime scene team, he said.

The roads in the area are unmarked, making it difficult to tell whose property they were found on, Hansens said. He said investigators reached the bodies by driving down farm service roads.

Jones said the property is owned by Easterday Farms.

An autopsy is scheduled for 9 a.m. Monday, Hansens said.
