Legislation tops agenda for Board of Agriculture meeting

The Oregon State Board of Agriculture will meet March 6-7 in Salem with legislative issues heading the agenda.
On March 6, the 10-member board will participate in a roundtable discussion with agricultural lobbyists and industry representatives on key issues facing agriculture in the 2013 Legislature.
On March 7, the board will discuss Oregon’s agricultural water quality program and receive an update on the Oregon Watershed Enhancement Board priorities.
A public comment period is scheduled at 10:45 a.m. on March 6.
The board will meet in the hearings room of the Oregon Department of Agriculture building, 635 Capitol St. NE, beginning at 8:30 a.m. both days.
