Portland Police think a man charged with last month’s murder of Niki Powell, may also be responsible for the murder of another woman. She was found in Washington Park in June.
Investigators haven’t been able to identify her, saying she has no fingerprints on file and no recent missing persons cases match her description.

Sgt.Pete Simpson says police are concerned.
“Certainly when you have two cases like this in a short time frame, there may be other victims we don’t know about yet,” Simpson explained.
Mark Beebout, 40, has been arrested and indicted on charges related to the murder of Niki Powell.
A Grand Jury has now also indicteded him for the murder and rape of the unidentified woman. State Police Forensic Examiners say Beebout is linked to the woman via DNA evidence.
Portland Police have released a sketch of the woman and a sweatshirt she was wearing and are asking anyone with information about her to come forward.
