Coralee Courson

Coralee Courson was born March 19, 1932, in San Francisco to Joseph and Caroline (Sylvia) Waters. She moved to Portland as a child and attended Portland schools. She attended and graduated from Immaculata Academy. She was employed as a legal secretary in Portland and while living there married Richard Courson. Upon moving to Pendleton she was employed by the state of Oregon.

Coralee was a member of Delta Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi, a past ladies board member of the Pendleton Country Club and a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. Her activities included tennis, golf, horseback riding and camping. Coralee was an accomplished seamstress and a room mother for all her childrens activities.

Mrs. Courson is survived by her husband, a daughter Julie of Pendleton, sons Rick and Jeff, both of Pendleton, granddaughter Caitlyn Courson of Pendleton, grandsons Dustin and Douglas Hawkins of Beaverton, Oregon, Jason Hawkins of Yakima, Washington and Nicholas Hawkins of Arizona.

Graveside services will be on Thursday, August 23, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at Olney Cemetery in Pendleton, Oregon. There will be a Celebration of Life immediately following the graveside service at the Pendleton Eagles Lodge, 428 S. Main St.
