HEPPNER – A graveside service for Cecil K. McDaniel will begin at 10 a.m. Friday, May 27, at Hardman Cemetery.
Mr. McDaniel, 78, of Heppner, died Wednesday, May 25, 2005, at Pioneer Memorial Hospital.

He was born Dec. 5, 1926, at Hardman, to Elmer and Ethel Allen McDaniel. He grew up in the Hardman area where he attended the Burton Valley and Hardman schools.
He worked as a timber faller for over 40 years; owned and operated a saw shop in Burns for several years and also worked on several area ranches.
Survivors include sons, Steve McDaniel of Lexington, Scott McDaniel of Heppner, and Rick McDaniel of Hardman; daughters, Gin Carr of Dayville and Dixie Lathrop of John Day; sisters, Vern Batty of Portland and Vera Cline of West Valley City, Utah; 19 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
